Departing our Strathalbyn Base we track North West for Mount Barker where you will gain a clear appreciation and wonder at the many Adelaide Hills Vineyards gently nestled in the rolling Mount Lofty Ranges. As we arrive overhead the famous Oakbank racecourse we alter track to the North East for Gumeracha and pass by the Kangaroo Creek, Millbrook and South Para Reservoirs. Our flight path takes us right up the centre of the famous South Australian wine growing region of the Barossa Valley. Tracking over Lyndoch, Jacobs Creek, Rowland Flat, Tanunda and Nuriootpa you will observe numerous iconic Australian Wineries and Vineyards. Overhead Nuriootpa we track South East flying over the historic town of Angaston and continue along the back of the Mount Lofty Ranges as they plunge towards the wide open plain of the Murray Lands where once again you will marvel that the only way to take in this contrast of geography is from the luxury of a helicopter. Our track takes us direct to Walkers Flat where we will fly low level for the next fifty miles following the mighty Murray River as it snakes and meanders it's way down stream past Mannum and on to Murray Bridge. In half an hour of flying time we will have taken in all the spectacular cliff face scenery that would normally take at least a week to cover travelling by house boat. At Murray Bridge we bid farewell to the majestic river and track over Hartley and Woodchester and return home to our Strathalbyn Base.
