Departing South Coast Helicopter's Strathalbyn base we track South West down the centre of the Fleurieu Peninsula. You will be amazed at the variety of landscapes from the rich alluvial market garden town of Ashbourne to the many prime grazing properties dotted with a variety of native vegetation, merging into National Parks. As we approach Delamere and Cape Jervis you will note the large wind turbines standing sentinel over the tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula at the Star Fish Hill wind mill farm. We track across Back Stairs Passage for Kingscote and the Bay of Shoals on route to Parndana before landing at Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park for an exclusive private tour - click here to find out more. Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park is home to many Australian Native species including Koalas, Kangaroo, Wallabies, Penguins, Echidnas, Dingoes and more. Many of the Animals have been orphaned due to car accidents, animal attacks, poor weather conditions and other extreme circumstances. Because they have been hand raised from a young age they remain extremely friendly and stay here at the sanctuary. We offer a rare and unique experience where you can get up close to some of these amazing animals and even hold a Koala, hand feed kangaroos and watch the little penguins being fed. Back on board the helicopter we set course for Kingscote for a spot of wine tasting at Springs Road Wines And another short hop to Bay of Shoals Wines . As we become airborne we bid farewell to Kangaroo Island and return to the mainland tracking coastal along the Deep Creek Conservation Park. This spectacular coastline with plunging cliffs and secluded surf beaches is constantly lapped by the surging swell of the Southern Ocean. We continue tracking coastal overflying the famous tourist mecca of Victor Harbor and Granite Island, continuing further East past the South Coast surfing beaches and Port Elliot. We now track North and return to South Coast Helicopter's Strathalbyn Base.
